As already announced in the last newsltter, the Austrian Biodiversity Network is organizing the Days of Biodiversity 2025 together with the Biodiversity Cluster of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna, the Austrian Barcode of Life (ABOL) initiative, the Natural History Museum Vienna, the Network of Biological Systematics Austria (NOBIS), the University of Vienna and the Zoological-Botanical Society of Austria (ZooBot).

They will take place between February 25 and 28, 2025 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna.
|
The call for sessions has now been extended until August 30th!
|
Everyone has the opportunity to help shape the conference!
|
We therefore call for submissions of topics for sessions and workshops on the following overarching topics:
|
1) Transformation measures: Nature Restoration
|
2) Competencies & quality control: from species knowledge to monitoring
|
3) With society: outreach & education
|
4) Challenges of sustainability: conflicting goals, synergies, pivotal points, biodiversity and climate
|
Proposals for additional topics can also be submitted.
|
Afterwards there will be the opportunity to submit presentations and posters for the individual sessions!

GEO Day of Biodiversity in South Carinthia

On the first weekend in July, the ABOL-BioBlitz was a guest at the GEO Day of Biodiversity in the Geopark Karawanken, this year for the first time in southern Carinthia.
