Biodiversity fund - call now open!

As most of you probably know, the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) set up a biodiversity fund of € 5 million to implement the Austrian biodiversity strategy, helping to achieve the Austrian biodiversity goals. A call has just been opened for submitting project proposals, e.g. for monitoring projects!

National Monitoring Center opened in Leipzig

Meeting the topic above, the National Monitoring Center for Biodiversity (NMZB) in Leipzig, Germany, was recently opened. It aims at creating a network for collecting monitoring data and making data better available. https://www.monitoringzentrum.de/ (in German only)
Such a center would be the order of the day for Austria as well.
